BRUCE LIEBERMAN

The paintings completed after 2014 evolved from a recovery period following a severe head trauma. When I was able to get back in the studio, I was only able to work on a small intimate scale. I painted still lifes returning to an earlier preoccupation, a formal continuation of a theme that dates back to the '90s. this led to the winter paintings- still lifes out my studio window.

It is a game of flat shapes of color dancing  and leading you rhythmically around in space on the surface like a symphony of organized chaos is the view out my studio.
