Multiple trips to Italy inspired a group of paintings that became an often returned-to and ongoing theme. Beginning with landscapes and then still lifes, the paintings evoke memories. Figures began to walk back into the paintings, occupants of the Garden of Eden, Earth Mother, or Odysseus journeying home.They are stories of love, longing, and being human complete with the trials and tribulations of love and relationships.
